• Law enforcement in Morocco completed a massive drug bust with the government saying they took down an international drug trafficking network. The bust thwarted an effort that would have trafficked two tons of product. Five suspects were arrested aging from 24 to 44. • California cannabis brand Kushy Punch was slapped with a fine in excess of $100 million for the alleged illegal production of cannabis gummies. This is California's largest cannabis fine thus far. The case goes back to 2019 when former owner of Kushy Punch, Vertical Bliss, manufactured gummies at an unlicensed facility. • Industry executives are sounding the alarm on a potential pay-for-play scheme which would allow larger marijuana producers and brands to secure shelf space.
