ā¢ The 2022 Midterms saw several states vote and have a drastic impact on the American marijuana movement. Arkansas, Maryland, Missouri, North Dakota, and South Dakota all voted on ballot initiatives to legalize cannabis, only two of the five passed their initiatives - Maryland and Missouri. Ā These results highlight the opposition that remains when it comes legalization. One critical aspect for recreational adult use legalization is a well regulated medical and established medical industry. Another aspect is the advocacy resources, which tend to focus on larger markets than what the Dakotas have to offer. The one thing that is certain after the midterms is that there is still opposition to legalization. |
