ā¢ Since Massachusetts legalized adult use cannabis in November 2018, the state has collected almost $4 billion in gross sales. Sales reached $1 billion in October 2020, $2 billion in July 2021 and $3 billion in May 2022. From January 1, 2022 through December 18, 2022 the state collected over $1.4 billion in adult-use sales. Medical cannabis sales for the same period was $260 million. Ā Prices, especially in flower specifically, have decreased since legalization. The price has fallen every month since June 2021, landing around $8 a gram in November 2022.Ā Ā In November 2018, there were 79 plants being harvested and today there are over 2.5 million.
