ā¢ New York City is now seeking to force landlords to evict the unlicensed marijuana shops that are everywhere. Manhattan DA said last week that he was putting the owners of 400 illegal shops on notice: Evict any tenants selling illegal weed, or the state will do it for you. Ā The illegal shops are making so much money that fines are looked at as a cost of doing business. Cannabis attorneys have said that this is the best way to rid the problem that is ever so prevalent. There are over 50 illegal shops operating from West 54th Street to West 108th Street, up drastically from the year before. |
